2nd International Scientific Conference to be held in Budva

Center for Monitoring and Research is organizing the 2nd international scientific conference within the Balkan Comparative Electoral Study project, on the topic “The Presidentialization of Political Parties in the Western Balkans”. The conference will be held from 17 - 19 February 2017, in Budva, Montenegro.

The conference aims to present the main findings and products of the project, including national and comparative analysis of presidentialization of political parties in the region of Western Balkans, as well as empirical data collected through region-wide conducted surveys on this matter. In addition to that, the purpose of the conference is to examine other aspects of political parties’ democratization, with special regard to selection of political parties' leadership.

The conference will gather prominent scholars in the field of political science from the region of Western Balkans, but also from international academic community, including University of Sapienza, Trinity College Dublin, University of Lausanne, etc.

Deadline for submission of paper abstracts is 20 January 2017.
